Cambodia is covering 181.000 square kilometers, a little more than 4 times the size of Denmark. The country is adjacent to Laos, Vietnam and Thailand, and with about 400 kilometers of coastline to the south. Cambodia is mainly flat, but small mountain areas and rainforest are covering the south- western and northern part. The population reaches about 15 million. Child mortality is 4,0 % (below 5 years). Poverty is mostly seen among the rural population, which is ADDA´s primary target group. ADDA has projects in the northern part of Cambodia: Oddar Meanchey and in the Province Siem Reap, to the north of the Tonle Sap River.
