LINKING SMALL SCALE FARMERS TO THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET FOR ORGANIC SUNFLOWER, TANZANIA 2018-2020

For three years, ADDA and partners have worked to develop capacity among small farmers in the Dodoma region. Including certification for organic production, use of quality-declared seed and linking of farmers to a serious dealer who can export the crop. This has led to 700 small farmers being certified and trained in post-Harvest management, so that they can better store harvests and wait for good market prices. Financed by AMDT with 11.3 mio. DKK. EMPOWERING AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVES AND CIVIL SOCIETY IN SIEM REAP (EASY), CAMBODIA 2017-2019                                                  

For three years, ADDA has worked with partners to develop capacity at the Association of Cooperatives, CADU, including the organization’s management and business management. This has led to the strengthening of 10 agricultural cooperatives and to improved services of the local cooperatives representing 3,000 farmers. Financed by CISU with 3.5 mio. DKK. Read more here.

EMPOWERMENT OF CIVIL SOCIETY IN ODDAR MEACHEY, II (CISOM II), CAMBODIA 2016-2019

CISOM II is an extension of CISOM I. During the three years of the project, ADDA has worked with partners to establish nine agricultural cooperatives, expand new ones and strengthen the current self-help groups (to a total of 100), build a higher level of process monitoring, including the appointment of Junior Advocacy Officer who works daily with partner organizations, integration of advocacy in formal organizational strategy. CLIMATE CHANGE AND ETHNIC MINORITIES IN NORTHERN VIETNAM, 2014 – 2017

For three years, ADDA has worked to capacity build ethnic minority farmers in Northern Vietnam. This mountanious area has been victim of land slides due to the climate crisis and inappropriate cultivation methods. The farmers have therefore been trained in these issues and acquired new sustainable and preventable farming methods. Read about the results here.

For three years, ADDA has trained farmers, small-scale businesses and agro-businesses in contract farming in Vietnam, to strenghten the rights of farmers and simultaneously increase the business owners’ awareness of their corporate social responsibility, CSR. Read the results here.

FARMER COOPERATIVES AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE CIVIL SOCIETY IN SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA 2014 – 2016

In Cambodia, we have worked to improve the standard of living for poor farmers in the Siem Reap provinse of Cambodia. We have focused on female farmers, as they constitute the largest group and simultaneously are the most vulnarable and poor. Project results can be read here.
